Birmingham Children's Trust and Solihull Council announced as sponsors of Shared Futures in Social Work Conference.
We are excited to announce Birmingham Children's Trust and Solihull Council will be sponsoring the Shared Futures in Social Work Conference as part of the Compass Jobs Fair, Birmingham on 18 March.
This in-person conference aims to bring together over 1,200 social work and social care professionals to celebrate social work from across the UK.
The COMPASS Jobs Fair, Birmingham is the largest social work recruitment event in the UK, with over 30 exhibitors looking to recruit and interview those for roles on the day.
Alongside the exhibition, the Shared Futures in Social Work Conference promises a dynamic lineup of speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. Attendees can expect insightful discussions on topics ranging from child protection and family technology law.
Birmingham Children’s Trust will host a diverse collection of seminars including: “An interview with an ASYE” and “Connection Count: Developing a relationship-based, trauma-informed, system-wide practice model for children’s social care.”
Mike Hayward, Principal Social Worker at Solihull Children’s Services will also explore “Needs-led, strengths-focused: Family led approaches to social work with children and their families”.
The session will provide a sense of Solihull’s Needs Led, Strengths Focused Practice Framework and a shared space to explore how family led approaches can be integrated into practice, providing participants with practical ideas how to ‘bridge the gap’ to families.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Solihull Children's Services said: "We are delighted to be joint sponsors of this year’s Compass Jobs Fair with Birmingham Children’s Trust. We look forward to meeting prospective social workers and showcasing all of the great things about working for Solihull."
There will be opportunities to learn more about their latest employment, training and career development opportunities in social work and social care at Birmingham Children’s Trust and Solihull Council Children’s Services.
As sponsors, Birmingham Children's Trust and Solihull Council demonstrate their dedication to promoting excellence in social work practice and ensuring the well-being of those they serve.
