Living Better Lives in Lancashire Vision:

Living Better Lives in Lancashire (LBLiL) is our practice led transformation for all of Adult Social Care. By working collaboratively, the people we serve will have greater choice and control in living a good life; staying connected and engaged with their communities and supported in their own homes for longer. By adopting a strengths-based approach to all of our work, we are changing how we deliver better outcomes for people, their families and their communities.

Living Better Lives in Lancashire Values:

- Listening to people, practitioners and partners

- Creativity & innovation

- Building our communities

- Embracing collaboration

- Understanding and using quality data

A career in social work is so rewarding and offers the chance to make a difference to people's lives and the communities we serve. In Lancashire, our Adult Social Care directorate are striving to work differently so that social workers can use their voice and their skills to innovate and co-produce our working strategies and approaches to really make that difference.

Commitment to Learning and Development:

Adult Social Care at Lancashire makes a commitment to supporting the learning and development opportunities of all its staff. A big part of this is delivered through our excellent Adult Social Care Academy programme, which supports you through your whole first year in employment with us. This ensures an informative, consistent induction programme for everyone new to the directorate. Supporting staff to become confident, competent practitioners, enhancing knowledge of policies & procedures and giving chance to develop a peer support network. The Academy promotes a learning and development ethos from day 1, demonstrating the value placed by Lancashire on the development and support of its staff.

Please come and speak to us on Stand 20 at the Social Work Show to find out more about the wealth of opportunities on offer and how you could join one of our outstanding teams.
